Without it, the career of the Shield Maiden is over. But Matthew is the observant type, and over the years, he’s begun to put the pieces of Abigail’s past together. He knows where she came from. The place where we all came from. He’s willing to take her back to get the repairs she needs. But going back means that Abigail must face the past.
