Heart of Darkness

Chicago bleeds. Sirens wail through smoke-choked streets, a symphony of despair. Above it all, The Guardian burns with a rage he doesn't understand. Once a revered hero, now a wraith of vengeance. A catastrophic explosion has ripped the city open, revealing a past buried in the blood-soaked soil of countless worlds, shattering his heroic facade. Haunted by whispers of forgotten atrocities, The Guardian is hunted by an enemy that mirrors his own monstrous reflection. His grip on sanity loosens as the line between savior and destroyer blurs, his every act leaving a trail of ash and despair. In this maelstrom of violence and betrayal, a single shard of light remains: Krysten, the woman who dares to love the darkness within him. But as the city crumbles under the weight of a cosmic war, even her love may not be enough to save him from the abyss. This is not a story of redemption, but of damnation. A descent into the heart of a nightmare, where heroes are broken, monsters are born, and the city's screams echo into eternity.
