The Adventures of Narizinho by Monteiro Lobato was the first children's book written by a Brazilian author. Its first version, still in the form of multiple short stories, was written in 1920. It has been rewritten and revised by the author himself, who published new versions over the years. Like the author, we're publishing yet another updated version translated by Cleo Monteiro Lobato, the author's great-granddaughter, and with illustrations by Rafael Sam. On these pages, the reader will experience Narizinho's first adventure at Picapau Amarelo Ranch, the birth of the Emília doll, and meet other characters. This is a fundamental work of Brazilian literature and now presented in a version that respects our contemporary values.
