Beth Telford, the practical member of a family entertaining troupe, Telford Tourers, was content to take a backstage role until handsome Angus Lancaster became a regular member of the audience and subsequently joined the players. His appearance coincides with a series of disasters for Telford Tourers, but these are nothing compared with the shock that awaits the family when Angus reveals his true identity with a tale far more dramatic than anything they ever presented on stage.
