Almost every leader of every court has tried to hunt Darina down for a chance at either killing or controlling her. Now, forcefully snatched from death, Darina is something else entirely. No longer prey, but still a target, the new queen must navigate the amongst rulers who have lived without restrictions for a thousand years, and don’t believe they need a high queen.
