Batman the Barbarian

DC's fan-favorite Elseworlds line presents a Batman like you've never seen, in the midst of a sword-and-sorcery epic! Batman has been a lot of things over the decades--a Dark Knight, a Caped Crusader, a vampire, an ape, a dinosaur, and more. In the latest reinvention of the Bat-mythos, Greg Smallwood--a two-time Eisner Award-winner for his work on DC's The Human Target--both draws and writes Batman The Barbarian, a brutal and remarkable retelling of Batman's origin set against a rugged, medieval Earth. It's exactly what the title suggests... and so much more! The sword-wielding barbarian known as "Batman" carries out his father's mission to protect the defenseless and honor the lands. However, an ancient prophecy surrounding a starved demon from the east is looming closer and closer. Can this Batman, worn down by the elements of his world, defeat this mystical threat? This volume collects Batman The Barbarian #1-6, the complete story.
