About Unknown Author

Mary Cavanagh spent her childhood in North Oxford, and was a pupil at St Barnabas Junior School in Jericho. She worked various jobs during the "Swinging Sixties." She married Bill and had two sons. They’re still happily married and live in Kennington with their Wire-Haired Dachshund, Angus. Cavanagh was 35 when she became a student at Westminster Teacher Training College, and it was through her English course that she discovered the joy of creative writing. Her work is inspired by the profound social and moral changes that have taken place in her life, and her acute observations of humankind (most especially as a voyeur and ardent ‘earwigger’). Cavanagh is a member of the Oxford Writers Group, Writers in Oxford and Abingdon Writers. Source: [Author's website](http://www.marycavanagh.co.uk/about-mary/)
