Sweet Tragedy

I was supposed to have my happily ever after. He’s my love, my life, my world in every way. And we had everything together. Till death do us part… No one told me who’s death it was that would tear us apart forever. My heart may still beat, but it’s shattered and the tragedy that splintered it can’t be undone. There’s no villain. No justice to be had. No revenge or closure. I’m just supposed to keep living, but that’s not what my heart wants me to do. The question was never whether or not I could survive this tragedy. It’s only ever been, do I want to? Sometimes death is the kindest of loves.
