Her novels consistently rank among the bestsellers, and some have been translated into several languages. She has received numerous literary awards, including the Prix Littéraire de la Vocation (1993), the Grand Prix du Roman of the Académie Française (1999), and the Prix Renaudot (2021). This success has earned her a royal decree granting her the honorary title of Commander of the Order of the Crown, and, on the recommendation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, King Philippe has proposed that she be granted the personal title of Baroness.
