Cell Activation and Apoptosis in HIV Infection

Assembles recent research, presented at a July 1994 international symposium in Paris, on basic and clinical aspects of T-cell activation/apoptosis in HIV infection and their implications for immunotherapy. Sections on T-cell/macrophage activation and HIV infection, apoptosis and viropathogenesis of HIV disease, apoptosis and immunopathogenesis of HIV disease, and mediators of T-cell activation/apoptosis describe advances in the field and explain the rationales for immune-cell-targeted therapeutic interventions.
