About Catherine Spencer

Catherine Spencer considered being a nun, nurse or veterinarian before she finally settled on being an English teacher. With a history of bossing her younger sister around, this career choice was a perfect fit. After marrying her husband and having four children, Spencer's self-described "middle-aged restlessness" set in and she began to look for another career. Teaching English for years helped Spencer to realize that her knowledge lay in novels, specifically romance novels. Spencer now writes for Harlequin Presents. She was the first Presents author to become a Romance Writers of America RITA finalist. Spencer was also featured on the Harlequin Goes Prime Time television special as well as doing promotions during Harlequin's 50th anniversary celebrations across Canada.
