Use with or without the Companion Book: The FTP is a condensed personal planning guide drawn from the book “Safeguarding the Well-Being of Children During & After a Parental Breakup.” It can be used with the original book or as a stand-alone planner. Childcare Plan: Not a legal document. It’s a parental separation childcare guide. Empowerment: It is designed to empower individual parents to safeguard the well-being of their children regardless of the cooperation received from the other parent. Research-Based: Based on factors known to hurt and help children cope with parental breakups. They include risk, protective, and resiliency-building factors. Videos: Includes QR codes to access twenty informative videos. 3-5min Personal Planner: Develop a comprehensive personal plan by reviewing book/videos and completing written responses and checklists. Lower Risk: Use this plan to eliminate or reduce known risk factors, such as interparent conflict. One parent may not be able to fully eliminate conflict, but one parent can disengage from it enough to provide children with one conflict-free household. That will help.
