Dune

Whipping Mek is a short story by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, set prior to the events of Dune: The Machine Crusade. It describes the arrival of the Honru Massacre survivors on Giedi Prime. Vergyl Tantor, now serving the Army of the Jihad and married to Sheel, hosts Xavier Harkonnen in his house. Later he has a meeting with Zon Noret who is training with Chirox and wishes to have a practice lesson with the mek.
