The Mermaid's Call

Cornwall 1845. What caused the death of a tattooed stranger found on Morwenstow beach clutching a key? Is he a victim of deliberate wrecking, lured by false lights? Or are tales of savage mermaids true? Six months have passed since Shilly, Anna and Mathilda have set up their detective agency in Boscastle, when a local sea Captain brings them a new case: whilst on board ship hundreds of miles from Cornwall, he dreamt his long-lost brother was murdered at their childhood home of Morwenstow. Rattled, the Captain returned to the village, just as a body was discovered. The circumstances matched those of the dream: the victim's face had been mutilated. Would the detectives take on his mysterious case and find the truth of what happened to his brother?
