Einstein's Miraculous Year

To anyone familiar with the history of modern science, the phrase "miraculous year" in the title immediately calls to mind its Latin counterpart "annus mirabilis," long used to describe the year 1666, during which Isaac Newton laid the foundations for much of the physics and mathematics that revolutionized seventeenth-century science.
