About this book
How can you accidentally end up as Admiral of a mercenary fleet? It all started for Miles Vorkosigan, when he failed the physical test, and lost his chance to join the Barrayaran Military Academy. He takes semi-legal possession of a jumpship and the mercenary force just sort of happens. The only problem is, it is treason--as in, a hanging offense--to command a private army.
