Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend of Jimi Hendrix celebrates the life and genius of this great musician by telling Jimi's story through an artful interweaving of text and almost 900 strikingly beautiful original illustrations. Major Hendrix archivists and scholars have contributed their expertise. The freeflowing artwork is inspired by films, videos, and photographs of Jimi in action. The text is layered with Jimi's own words - autobiographical reminiscences, song lyrics, letters home - that are as illuminating as his music, and impart a rich personal dimension to his tale.
