Street shots / hooky

In 1971, the author was as aspiring young filmmaker making a living as a bike messenger. Unable to afford filmmaking, he carries a still camera and shoots B&W film. In 1975 he receives a fellowship in film and begins to make a movie called Hooky, with kids he's been photographing in an empty playground lot.
