About this book

She had no choice. She was his prisoner. She hadn't committed a crime. She'd seen one. As state's witness in a murder case, Lorna Doria was invaluable -- and in danger. It was New York City undercover cop Andrew Trudeau's job to protect her, but neither of them had been safe from the passions that engulfed them. She'd returned to the quiet elegance of her life in New England, thinking her ordeal over, when Andrew reappeared, assigned to be her bodyguard. As long as the murderer was out on bail, Lorna was forced to accept Andrew's presence in her life. But they came from different worlds. How could she accept that what bound them was love, that even when the present danger had passed, she might face the future with a man whose life would always be on the line?
