NOEL'S FATHER, WHEN LAST SEEN, had boarded a ride called the Black Dragon on the final evening of the Great Mississippi Fair, which in a matter of hours and direction would transform itself into the Great Louisiana Fair or the Great Tennessee Fair or the Great Alabama Fair.
