About this book

He was no gentleman ... — And in Jackson Connery's company, Laura Mitchell was hardly a lady -- she was positively wanton! But how was a man who could barely exchange a civil word with anyone able to arouse such longing in her? And why did she have to find herself so attracted to a man who clearly wanted to be left alone? — For the first time in her life, Laura was shamelessly tempted to exert her feminine charms. But could she be happy with a brief affair, when what she really wanted was Jackson's love?

About Catherine Spencer

Catherine Spencer considered being a nun, nurse or veterinarian before she finally settled on being an English teacher. With a history of bossing her younger sister around, this career choice was a perfect fit. After marrying her husband and having four children, Spencer's self-described "middle-aged restlessness" set in and she began to look for another career. Teaching English for years helped Spencer to realize that her knowledge lay in novels, specifically romance novels. Spencer now writes for Harlequin Presents. She was the first Presents author to become a Romance Writers of America RITA finalist. Spencer was also featured on the Harlequin Goes Prime Time television special as well as doing promotions during Harlequin's 50th anniversary celebrations across Canada.
