About Unknown Author

Theodore L. Brown recibió su doctorado de la Michigan State University en 1956. Desde entonces ha sido miembro del profesorado de la University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, en donde hasta el día de hoy es profesor emérito de química. De 1980 a 1986, fungió como vicecanciller de investigación y decano en The Graduate College, y de 1987 a 1993 como director fundador del Arnold y Mabel Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. El profesor Brown ha sido miembro de la Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Research y ha sido galardonado como miembro Guggenheim. En 1972 fue galardonado con el premio de Investigación en Química Inorgánica de la American Chemical Society, y en 1993 recibió el premio de la American Chemical Society por su distinguido servicio en favor de la química inorgánica. Fue elegido miembro de la American Association for the Advancement of Science y la American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
