About this book
One Amazon review of "Angie" "This is one of my all-time favorite books and I think it's such a shame that it is no longer in print. It is a very 1970's book but it's beautifully illustrated by Hilary Knight (of "Eloise" fame) and the story is wonderful. Angie is a clever, quirky young girl who doesn't always fit into her world just right, and does not always act as she is expected to act due to her overactive imagination but she always means well. The "lessons" in the story are not overly preachy at all. Angie also has a pet goose. I adored this book as a little girl named Angie myself, and thirty years later I still love it."
