Private Peaceful

Thomas "Tommo" Peaceful is waiting for his brother Charlie Peaceful to be executed for cowardice during the First World War. He tells the story of his life before the war, and his love for Molly, a childhood sweetheart who falls in love with his brother. Through his memories, he explores the brutality of war, and the injustice surrounding the execution of soldiers by firing squad. First person recount.
