Complete Works of William Shakespeare

<p>The Alexander Text of the Complete Works of Shakespeare is recognized the world over for its clarity and scholarship. The texts were edited by the late Professor Peter Alexander and have long been recognized as a supreme example of the editors’ art (indeed it was this text that the BBC used as the basis of its televised cycle of plays).</p><p>The book starts with two specially written articles – a biography of Shakespeare by Germaine Greer and a wide-ranging introduction to Shakespeare theatre by the late Anthony Burgess.
